What is Art Share?
In order to be thoughtful, engaging and creative art teachers, we must make a concerted effort to continue making our own artwork on a consistent basis.
Our professional development group, Art Share, meets once a month throughout the school year. Each September, we decide what we would like to focus on; be it a new medium, theme, format, or genre. Each teacher then interprets that idea into an average of 8 finished pieces of personal artwork that are shared, reflected upon and exhibited in a local gallery space.
By creating, critiquing and exhibiting our own artwork, our passion for the arts is continuously renewed and shared with our students and our community.
